(K2Climb.net) "It's gonna be a great season - everyone's there! (Gerlinde, Veikka, Hiro, Pavle, Kopold, the Peters, Chris Warren, Iñurrategi, .... )" wrote ExWeb's editor Angela Benavides after updating the latest list of expeditions sent from Pakistan by Karrar Haidri.

Some independent climbers are going for double headers and thus are listed under more than one team. Pls check the list below and send us corrs and links ASAP before the list is coded and set in stone by Monday.

K2 is packed this season; first out is Dutch Wilco van Rooijen and his team. In his third attempt on K2 (without oxygen), Wilco's Norit K2 Expedition is a motley crew of international and Dutch climbers who sent a heads-up to ExWeb yesterday that they already reached BC (check updates at www.noritk2.nl).

Using tech from HET, the team will also employ helmet-mounted cameras during the climb.

And here goes a correction to the previous K2 story about Norwegian Rolf and Cecilie: Simen Mørdre cancelled K2 in 2005 due to a new job and was replaced by Rolf Bae as the expedition leader. Five climbers attempted the south/south east ridge back then and now three of them (Øystein, Rolf and Cecilie) are returning to the peak.

The team will run updates in one of Norway's largest newspaper (www.vg.no) and Cecilie's homepage (www.cecilieskog.com).
