(MountEverest.net/Madrid) Lhotse has claimed the life of Kazakh climber Sergei Samoilov, who was attempting the Lhotse-Everest traverse together with Maxut Zhumayev and Vassiliy Pivtsov. The sad news has been confirmed on the expedition's official website - Mountain.kz. While further details are expected soon, attention now focuses on Max and Vaso's safe descent back to BC.
