OLN TV just confirmed that the Global Extreme's team has left for their final summit bid. However, there will not be live television coverage of the event as they had planned. Instead the summit push will be broadcast on Sunday, June 1st.

The Summit team is as follows:

Global Extreme's finalists: Jesse Rickert and Ted Mahon
Crew: Mark Whetu (Expedition leader), Michael Brown, and Jake Norton
Sherpas: Loppasang, Chhuldim, Karssang, Phuru, and Lakpa

Mark Whetu took over as expedition leader when Chris Warner suffered a possible concussion after getting hit in the head with an oxygen bottle during the team’s rescue efforts last week.
