Atlantic Rowers Update: RowGirls arrive in Antigua after 77 days

(TheOceans.net) After 77 days and 2937 miles (4727 km), Sally Kettle, Claire Mills, and Sue McMillen crossed the finish line in Antigua at 2130 hrs GMT on Wednesday, February 15. Fourth crew member, Jo Davies had to be taken off the boat half way through the Race due to severe back problems.
"By some miraculous occurrence and fantastic steering & 'tacking' skills we managed to cross the finish line unaided," said the team as they stepped off the boat.
One double, one single
It’s been one month and a half since the first boat ‘All Relative’ crossed the finish line. But there are still two boats left on the Atlantic: ‘Christina’ crewed by Irishman, Paul Gleeson and Canadian, Tori Holmes, and the only single handed female rower in the Race, Roz Savage in ‘Sedna Solo’.
‘Christina’ is due to finish the Race tomorrow sometime in the early afternoon, leaving Roz the only rower still out on the water.
Still the single rower who funded her trip with a divorce settlement has been picking up speed over the past week. Roz is expected to cross the finish line on or around March 6.
