(ThePoles.com) Eric Larsen who is planning to do the Three Poles, all during a continuous 365-day period, is attempting his first Pole this Antarctic season. Eric told ExplorersWeb that he will be guiding a group for ANI/ALE from Hercules Inlet. They will receive resupplies.

This expedition will count as the first of Eric’s Three Poles. In the Arctic spring season he will ski unsupported from Canada to the North Pole and thereafter climb Everest.

ANI/ALE will also have a group starting from the Ronne-Filchner Ice Shelf (also referred to as the Messner Start). The 840 km resupplied journey will be guided by previous South Pole speed record holder, Hannah McKeand.
