Winter Pakistan: movement on Nanga Parbat

Posted: Jan 28, 2013 06:36 am EST
(Newsdesk) A short message at Steepboard says Joel Wischnewski is well and on the Rupal face. Possibly this means the snowboarder has gone up.

Over on Diamir, the Hungarian/American team tracker shows movement. The team's computer busted, the guys call in or email home via the Italians.

According to a FB update, a short message from David to his home team on Friday said, "Yesterday Ian and I got to and established Camp 1 at around 5115 meters. Was a wonderful day. Today we were resting, and tomorrow we move to Camp 1 for two nights, and we'll try to build Camp 2."
